Finding Peace

My world is spinning out of control
I feel so far from home
Just when I've given up hope
From somewhere in the darkness
I hear your voice, O God,
whispering peacefully to my heart,
"This way my child.
No need to fear.
I've got your hand.
I will help you to stand.
You were never alone.
I was one step behind my beloved,
just waiting for you
to stumble and fall,
finally calling me to your side,
willing to let me lead you
into a brighter future.
I am here now and forever.
Just ask my Princess
and you will receive."
Tears fall as my head stops spinning.
Slowly I take a step of faith,
walking toward the voice so soothing,
stepping from familiar darkness
to warm, glorious light.
